Lee joined Southern Cross as General Manager in 2009, progressing from a successful and well experienced on-site career as a domestic builder and shopfitter, becoming a prominent figure within the business and shopfitting industry, leading and mentoring a team of 70+ staff. In his time at Southern Cross, Lee has played a pivotal role in continually pushing to grow and improve our client portfolio, and ongoing development of client satisfaction. Lee’s vision of becoming a market leader within the shopfitting and construction industry is driven by the professional development and experience that Southern Cross provides to its clients.

Jacob Sobey:

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Coming straight from completing high school, Jacob joined Southern Cross in 2012 within the Logistics Department where he has since branched out into other areas of the business such as managing our Logistics Department, Procurement and now heads our Shared Services team within the business. Completing a bachelor’s degree in business majoring in finance & human resources, also completing a Juris Doctor (Masters of Law) and an admitted Australian Lawyer, Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business. Jacob takes passion in organisational development, continually seeking opportunities for strategic development and growth for the business, providing significant support to our clients and internal departments.

Paul Jones:

National Operations Manager

Starting as an onsite tradesman within the shopfitting and construction industry, Paul joined the team at Southern Cross as a Construction Manager in 2011 where he brought his skills and knowledge from years on site. With an eye for detail in providing clients with exceptional service, ensuring that all projects are completed and managed above expectation, Paul has been involved with some of the company’s largest projects, including major residential redevelopments, proving that his attention to detail and experience allows him to diverge into various types of projects.

Shenade Vila:

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - CA TEAM LEAD

Shenade has a strong history with Southern Cross, starting out in 2009, following a stint in retail.  From the outset, Shenade displayed her potential when beginning in reception and demonstrating a passion to undertake additional duties to grow her role.   Shenade further developed in the store development side of our business, supporting this team as well as our Construction Managers. 

In 2016 Shenade started managing her own stores.  She went on to work across New Zealand as well as Australia, and now leads our client relationship and strategy with Decjuba.  Shenade continues to grow from strength to strength,  having also completed her Diploma of Project Management. 

Shenade now oversees and manages our Construction Administrators and has further spread her wings into our offshore sourcing.  Shenade loves supporting our clients and our people and is a real asset to our team.

Shane Anderson:

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Shane joined Southern Cross as our NSW Construction Manager in 2017. Shane has progressed from an experienced tradesman coming to Southern Cross with over 18 years experience in the shopfitting industry along with over 10 years of Project Management and Construction Estimating experience. Shane’s wealth of experience extends to backgrounds as a boilermaker, welder and structural engineering giving him exceptional knowledge and experience within the construction and building industry, making him a pivotal asset of the Southern Cross Team and its cliental. Shane has a passion for passing on his knowledge and experience to up and coming Project Managers and Coordinators in order to generate strong and successful market leaders.

Brad Grindal:

ESTIMATING MANAGER

Brad began at Southern Cross in 2012 providing a wealth of experience within his respective field. Brad continues to develop and provide the business with key operational strategies to grow its estimating procedures to ensure that our clients are getting high-quality fit outs at a competitive and cost-saving price. With a passion for growing the culture and values within Southern Cross, Brad continues to help with making Southern Cross an enjoyable workplace for its team members.

Dean Costantin:

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

After a long career in public health and project management, Dean Joined Southern Cross in 2010. Using his background in quality improvement and process development, he started up the Southern Cross Maintenance Department. Initially servicing just a handful of stores in Australia, he was soon servicing over 1000 retail stores in six countries 24/7.  Dean has also set up preventative maintenance and safety and compliance programs across Australasia. Over this time Dean has developed an extensive knowledge of the retail maintenance sector, with an international network of contractors and resources, and offers a valuable resource to his clients and continues to be a valuable asset to the Southern Cross team.

Craig Adams:

FACTORY FOREMAN

Joining the Southern Cross team in 2010 Craig started off his career as a member of our joinery team, going on to be a successful and well experienced on-site, factory and domestic builder. In recent years, Craig has taken on the position of Factory Foreman where he is responsible for overseeing all projects within the Southern Cross Factory. Craig’s enthusiasm and dedication has allowed him to express his passion for leadership, playing a vital part in our overall operation. Overseeing 15 co-workers, Craig ensures that our product and delivery to clients is completed with the upmost standard and professionalism.
